The veteran superstar is currently admitted in the Breach Candy Hospital due to breathing issues. Not much is public about his current health status, except that he is critical. However, some media portals, especially Aaj Tak and India Today circulated rumors about the actor’s death.

Hema Malini and Esha Deol later issued press statements denying the same, saying that the actor is still alive, and responding well to the treatment. She also slammed the Wikipedia editors for falling for the rumors.
