The story takes place in a Duronto train and the travel is from Delhi to Chennai. The story happens in two nights and a day in the train. The love story of Dhanush and Keerthy Suresh begins in the train. Dhanush takes up the role of a railway caterer in the train. The movie is a contemporary take on the prevalent issues in the society. Watch the movie to experience its freshness.

Star Performances

Dhanush is one of the highly talented actors of India. He has tried his luck in Bollywood and tasted success there too. In Thodari, he as usual, does a wonderful job not only in acting but also in fighting and dance sequences. He has nicely underplayed his character. We can see him in a new makeover in this film and his dedication has paid off. As for Keerthy Suresh she has lived her character as Saroja. Her character is filled with a grace that is not often seen in Kollywood films. Radharavi has given a stunning performance while Karunakaran and Thambi Ramiah prove why there are the prolific comedians nowadays. The rest of the cast ably perform.

Prabhu Solomon, the director, never fails to give us an engaging story in the backdrop of romance. The climax of his movies are also good. Having said that, Thodari is interspersed with all the necessary feelings and sentiments by the director who had earlier directed memorable films like Kayal, Mynaa and Kumki. The director has also co-produced and written the story of the movie.

  • Dialogues are good with a tinge of sarcasm and justifiable reasoning in it.

  • The second half could have been more engaging.
