MORE CAST & CREW
Magalir Mattum is directed by “ Bramma G” after the hit film Kuttram Kadithal. The movie has Jyothika Saravanan in the lead role. The film also has the star cast of Saranya Ponvannan, Bhanu Priya, “ Urvashi,” “ Livingston,” “ Nassar,” Pavel Navageethan and “Gokulnath.” The music composition is by Mohamaad Ghibran and the cinematography is by Manikandan. CS Prem is the editor of Magalir Mattum. Suriya Sivakumar produces the film under 2D Entertainments banner and Sakthi Film Factory distributed it. This is the second film for Jyothika in her second innings.
Prabha is getting ready for her marriage. The new age girl is a documentary filmmaker. She visits her future mother-in-law, after hearing that she is lonely. During her visit, her mother-in-law tells her about her interesting school days and her friends. She feels for splitting her besties after school days. Prabha decides to reunite Goms, Subbu and Rani after 36 years. What happens after they meet? How their life changes after Prabha reunited them is beautifully told in the film.
Jyothika, Bhanu Priya, Urvashi and Saranya haven’t acted in the film but lived as the real characters. Jyothika’s role is weighty and the beautiful lady has pulled it off with ease. Bhanu Priya’s emotions, Urvashi’s dialogue delivery and comedy expressions and Saranya’s performance prove why these ladies are celebrated even after years. Pavel Navageethan has also done his best.
Bramma G has once again proved that he is a good script writer cum director. His cast selection is perfect. Bramma has devised the characters well and if we notice keenly, we could find out that each character has a particular color code. Yes, the three veteran stars are given unique colors and those colors relate them very well. Kuttram Kadithal director is very strong in his script, which gives us a great impact. Bramma’s films are depicted with a great motive rather than commercialization.
What’s Not There?
Overall, Magalir Mattum is a good family entertainer that attracts not only the women audiences but the men too. Visit the theaters with your family. This is yet another decent family entertainer.
