Inayathalam” is the action thriller entertainer directed by the duo Shankar and Suresh. Ganesh Venkatraman plays the lead role along with Shweta Menon and “ Sukanya.” The film also has Erode Mahesh, Delhi Ganesh, Y G Mahendra and Badava Gopi. Karthik Raja cranks the camera and Arrol Corelli composes the music. Ganesh and Shweta will be seen as the investigating Officers. Director Shankar is a charted accountant and director Suresh is a doctor by profession. This film is inspired by a short film named Samooga Valai directed by a 13-year-old director Rohit Khanna. The film carries a message for the people, who are addicted in social media

Shweta Menon is a CBI officer and Erode Mahesh is her assistant. Ganesh Venkatram is a Police Officer. The plot starts with a burglary in ATM. With the help of a small boy, a mob loots the ATM. A lot of unusual incidents happen in the city. The murder of Delhi Ganesh is telecasted live on the social media. Although the cops try to save him, they couldn’t find the place and so they lose Delhi Ganesh. Next to get stuck in the man hunt is Adams. Finally, Mahesh gets caught in the hunt. In a certain stage, Shweta faces a terrible situation through Sukanya. What is that situation? Did she overcome the tough situation? What happened to Mahesh? Did Shweta and Ganesh save him? Watch the interesting film in theaters!

Star Performance

Shweta excelled in her role as an Investigation Officer. She performs quite naturally. Ganesh tries to steady himself as an action hero. Erode Mahesh has also done his best. Although Delhi Ganesh’s screen presence is very little, he impresses the audiences much.

The director duo Shankar and Suresh had chosen a good script, which has a good message to the social media users. The screenplay is also good, except in a few places. ATM theft is left in the halfway and the link is missing.

What’s There?

  • Natural performance of Shweta Menon
  • Ganesh’s action hero look
  • Strong script that brings a good message to social media users

What’s Not There?

  • Background music is not impressive
  • Ganesh’s transformation in the climax looks a bit odd

Although there are a few flaws, the film is an essential one for the society that is deeply involved in the social media. The directors Shankar and Suresh are making their debut with this film and they get kudos for their first effort. Inayathalam… worth watching, once!
