Plot
Naveen and Vennila eloped and got married. Both families are against their marriage. Finally, they settled with Naveen’s family. Naveen loses his job in a strange situation. Vennila gets pregnant, and Naveen’s family also needs funds to repair their house. As he is the sole breadwinner, he had to get a loan after he lost his job. His elder sister is married to a wealthy family, and her husband always takes a dig at Naveen’s family. Naveen decided to keep it a secret that he lost his job, as his brother-in-law might degrade him. When things tighten his neck, he doesn’t know how to manage his family. What will be his next step? Will he allow his wife to search for a job? The rest of the film speaks about this.
Star Performance
The film is full of performers from the Nakkalites group, who had already impressed us on YouTube videos. Manikandan’s performance is natural, and he did a fantastic job. The audience will grow sympathy for him, as such was his performance. Guru Somasundaram is good in his role. His body language and expressions are perfect. Manikandan and Guru’s chemistry is excellent. Sundarrajan and Kanakam have done their parts well.
Analysis
The plot is simple. What will happen if the sole breadwinner of the house loses his job and keeps it a secret? This one-line story’s screenplay is interesting. The debut director has made his first film impressive with a web of complex situations. The actors are perfect, and the casting team might have made a huge effort to pick the actors. There are scenes with guaranteed good laughs. Though the story is logical, what we feel illogical is that why can’t a talented person get at least a simple job after losing his high-income job? Though the film is full of comedy, there is a serious scene in the pre-climax. Actually, the story is serious, but they’ve made it with funny incidents. The visuals, BGM, and the editing are perfect.
