Balaji Sakthivel is an extrusive director and writer of the Tamil film industry. He is famous for his movie Vazhakku Enn 18/9, for which he has won awards. He was born in 1964 in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu. He is known for Samurai (2002), Kalloori (2007) and, Ra Ra Rajasekhar (2018). Balaji Sakthivel started his career as an assistant director under Shankar Shanmugam.
The first movie directed by him was Samurai, released in 2002, although it was not a big hit regardless of receiving firm reviews.
