Plot

Analeesan resides with his mother in a village. The people in the village are not respected, and they are not allowed to enter the temple they built. The ruler of their region charges them heftily at the suggestion of the British government. Sengolan, the elder brother of Analeesan, visits them after a long on a festival day, and that was the final day for their mother. Heartbroken Analeesan, who had been longing for the respectful life of the villagers, thinks that if he serves the British, they may respect him. Soon, he joined the army and was named Miller. His first task was to kill the freedom fighters who had been practicing non-violence. After realizing that joining the British army was a wrong decision, he decides to go back to his village. He comes to know that his brother was one of the non-violent protesters and gets shattered. After a few months, Kannaya, a dacoit gang leader, finds him and suggests Miller join his gang. What was Analeesan's decision? Will he fight against the British? The rest of the story deals with all these.

Star Performance

Dhanush excelled well in the given role. His dialogue delivery, body language, and performance are stunning. Shiva Rajkumar is just spectacular and provides the same vibes he gave in the Superstar movie, "Jailer." Priyanka is just awesome, and the rest of the stars have given what was expected of them.

Analysis

Dhanush has once again chosen a different story, and the casting team is perfect in picking Shivanna for the cast. His performance adds a big positive point to the film. Besides the main cast, the rest of the stars are also given vital roles. The BGM by GV Prakash is excellent, and the visuals are stunning. Siddhartha Nuni's camera work makes the audience travel through the historical period. Editing is quite decent. The production values are impressive, and Sathya Jyothi has done a good job satisfying the audience with good technical and production teams.

What's There?

The performances of the lead stars are excellent

What's Not There?

The film's pace moves slowly in the second half

Verdict

The film has a different plot, good narration, and excellent performances. If you are a fan of Dhanush, you'll definitely love this film. Even if you are a non-Dhanush fan, you'll love the film for its making and performances.
