Aditi Balan is a 27 years old kollywood actress who gained popularity with her recent flick ‘
’ (Flowing Water), directed by the debut director Arun Prabhu Purusothaman. She is originally a lawyer by profession but she grabbed everyone’s attention with her performance through Aruvi for which she was also nominated for 2016 National Awards.
Aruvi is about a gentle girl born and brought up in an undeveloped village, who finds it difficult to fit in the city. She decides to take it hard on the people. What she does next is the rest of the story. She generally speaks about the social anguish of a girl.
Being a newcomer Aditi has given her performance like an experienced actress, like Jyothika did for ‘Chandramuki’. The audience had lauded her acting skills and she has now become a sought-after actress in Kollywood. ‘Aruvi’ also had its world premiere at the International Film Festival 2016.
In the movie, she plays a character of a girl who smokes and drinks, but it wasn’t a matter of concern for the actress. She said in a recent interview that she didn’t really look at it like that and she was just giving to the film what it required and also added that drinking and smoking was the need of the film.
To prepare for the role, Aditi had to do a few rehearsals and was chosen among 500 participants to do the role. She then met several people to understand the issues that the film deals with. All of this really helped her in playing the role, especially for the second half of the movie where her character transforms. She appreciated her team which was so dedicated and they inspired her to give her 100 percent in this project.
