Bangalore Naatkal, which is a remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Bangalore Days, has hit the screens now. Let’s see how the film has turned out to be.

Plot

The movie is set in the backdrop of Bangalore. Arya, Sri Divya, and Bobby Simha are cousins who are very close since their childhood days. Bobby Simha’s dream is to have a wife who is conventional and wears sarees. Arya has a passion for bikes and leads his life according to what he thinks best. Sri Divya is wedded to Rana Daggubati, who is obsessed with his work. And life is not all easy for the three cousins; they have their problems with life, but what makes them inspirational is their positive outlook towards life. And this positive attitude helps them face obstacles in a commendable manner.

Star Performances

Sri Divya performs her role with utmost conviction. Arya and Bobby Simha too equally shine in their roles. Rana Daggubati not only impresses with his macho looks but also in his acting, especially those involved with Samantha. Parvathy Menon has done full justice to her role. Saranya Ponvannan’s performance is so exuberant that it is contagious. Prakash Raj, M S Bhaskar, and Raai Laxmi do their parts well while Samantha appears in a special appearance.

Analysis

Life is a gift to be enjoyed without any worries. And Bangalore Naatkal aptly enunciates this concept. The movie touches on aspirations, bonds, and friendships in a beautiful manner. And not to miss love, which is the most sought after value in the world.

The director of the movie, Bommarillu Bhaskar, who has helmed direction for films like Bommarrillu, Orange, Parugu, etc. has experimented with a different concept this time and has turned quite successful with this endeavor.

What’s there?

  • The movie is full of youthful vigor, and its long duration doesn’t act as a hurdle to it.
  • K V Guhan’s cinematography is appealing.
  • Gopi Sunder’s scores compliment well with the tempo of the movie. His background score also adds to the energy of the movie.
  • Anjali Menon’s script adds luster to the movie.
  • The romantic track of Arya and Parvathy Menon is presented well in the movie.

What’s not there?

  • The screenplay could have been narrated in a better manner.
  • The makers of the film could have concentrated more on the dialogues.

Verdict

The youth will love the film, and it can be surely watched once, despite its flaws.
