CAST & CREW
While many filmmakers are making movies on social issues such as ' Udta Punjab', director Anandakrishnan also makes his comeback after two years with ' Metro', an eye-opener for our society that how the chain snatching business works. The movie has Bobby Simhaa, Maya, Satya in the lead roles.

The movie starts with Arivazhagan and Kumar in a building where they interrogate a man. After getting the information, they move forward toward their mission. The movie then moves to the background where Arivazhagan family includes a retired constable father, a loving mother (Thulasi) and a younger brother Mathiazhagan (Sathya). Sathya wants to break free the middle-class shackles around him and wants a KTM, which costs 1.5 lakhs.

Analysis: Metro movie is the Second directorial venture of Anandakrishnan. Unlike his earlier film, this one lacks due to poor writing and performances. But Anandakrishnan nullifies these drawback with his marvelous direction and keep us glued throughout. Action scenes are adds essence in it. The film has award winning actors, but they misfit in the role assigned to them. Even though the topic is new but the storyline lacks somewhere.
Star Performances: The ineffective cast is the major issue in the film. Bobby Simha, who got the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for Jigarthanda, who plays the goon, also misfits as he fails to evolve the terror while issuing threats. Maya and Satya also don’t impress with their performances. Dialogues provided to them fail to make an impact.
1. The film is an action Thriller so has some marvelously filmed action scenes.
2. NS Uthaya Kumar's cinematography is a highlight.
3. Anandakrishnan's direction is a must watch.
What's not there?
1. If you want to see some excellent acting, then the film disappoints you as nobody has acted up to the mark.
2. The film lacks Screenplay, which required being focused.
3. The dialogues needed to be written more cautiously as they are not for the family audience.
Verdict If you are bored of romantic movies and songs and want to enjoy some good action, Metro is truly your cup of tea.
