Neil was a student then. Later when Neil met Sathyan in the sets of ‘Ennum Eppozhum’, Neil told him that he wanted to join the industry. This is how the director always encouraged young talents in his movies.  He is most notable for his works in movies like ‘Manassinakkare’(2003) that had Sheela and Jayaram in the lead. He repeated screenwriter Sreenivasan, cinematographers Vipin Mohan and Venu, and music composer Johnson in many of his movies. Needless to say, even character artists like Innocent, Oduvil Unnikrishnan, Mamukkoya, Nedumudi Venu and K. P. A. C. Lalitha are common cast in every movie of Sathyan.  His association with screenwriter Sreenivasan has created many gems in Malayalam movies and they are T. P.
