Mammootty Back In Action

Mammootty is back in action!

The movie is directed by Mahesh Narayanan of Malik fame, and it stars Mammootty alongside Mohanlal Fahadh Faasil, as well as Nayanthara, who is returning to Malayalam movies after a long time. Interestingly, this will be the first time in more than a decade that Mammootty and Mohanlal will be seen together. The two stars last worked on the 2013 movie, Kadal Kadannu Oru Mathukutty.

While Mammootty refused to explain his absence, some say that he was grappling with some health issues, due to which he took a short  break. His last film appearance was in Bazooka, which turned out to be underwhelming at the box office. Interestingly, Mammootty’s only successful movie this year was ironically an AI appearance of himself in the investigative thriller Rekhachithram. Mammootty is also awaiting the release of Kalamkaval, where he will play a grey role.
