M. Jayachandran Malayalam Actor

M Jayachandran is an Indian musician, music composer, and singer; he works in Malayalam Film Industry. Jayachandran was born on 5th April 1971 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. His parents are Madhusudhanan Nair and Sukumari Amma. He took his Electrical Engineering degree from TKM College of Engineering. On 12th November 1995, he got married to Priya. At the age of 5, he started his training in the Carnatic music from Attingal Harihara Iyer and then under Perumbavoor G Raveendranath.

Then for 18 years he studied the music under Neyyattinkara Mohanchandran. He has won the Carnatic vocal competition for four consecutive years from 1987 at the Kerala University Youth Festival. He made his debut as a playback singer in the movie ‘Vasudha’ released in 1992. Further, he assisted G. Devarajan, music director and then made his mark as a music director by doing the film ‘Chantha’ in 1995. He is the winner of Kerala State Film Award for Best Music Director for six times which is a record.

He received the honor of Best male singer award in 2005. Jayachandran has been the music composer of more than hundred Malayalam movies.
