The Malayalam star is being lauded for his role as the enigmatic chieftain of Bangra, Rajashekhara. Jayaram revealed that Malayalam superstar Mammootty saw the role and congratulated him for his brilliant role as Rajashekhara.

Jayaram had last worked on a Malayalam movie with the crime thriller Abraham Ozler, which also starred Mammootty in an extended cameo. The movie was a moderate success, following which Jayaram switched to Tamil and Telugu movies. While he achieved some success with Retro, his attempt to make a comeback to Tollywood with Game Changer ended up in a disaster.
