Plot
Rashmi works as an intern on a local news channel. She meets with Guddu. He is the channel’s star reporter, whereas his friend is a cameraman. Guddu and Rashmi fall in love during the work. One day, Guddu decides to confess and asks Rashmi to marry him. Rashmi rejected it as she is an open-minded modern girl who wants to know each other before marrying. She suggested that they should try to live in a relationship. Guddu was rejected due to fear of his and her parents. Rashmi's father is a politician. He is a narrow-minded personality who is entirely against living in a relationship. His parents are conservative and want their elder son to marry before the younger son Guddu. Guddu was in a great crisis, but still decided to go for live in relationship for his love to Rashmi. What will happen to Guddu and Rashmi? Will there will be a happy ending to their love story? Will Rashmi's father Vishnu Trivedi find their live-in a relationship? The rest of the story deals with it.
Star Performance
Kartik Aaryan ad Guddu did an incredible performance in the film. He portrayed well how small-town boys struggle. The audience will love his goofy nature and dialogue delivery. Kriti Sanon, as Rashmi, did a fantastic performance in the movie. Her acting was perfect, just like her. She well portrayed how an open-minded girl will think. The modern mind-set of the character makes her ideal for this role in the film. Aparshakti Khurana has made a significant contribution to the film. He has shown his worth in the film industry. Pankaj Tripathi was, as usual, the perfect character. His comic timing was excellent. All the other actors were as good as the main lead actors.
Analysis
The storyline of the film was great, funny, and entertaining. The film focus on the live-in relationship. The film is based on how Indian society will look over some modern concepts when applied in real life. The cinematography was excellent as it brought out the beautiful local areas. The comic elements of the film are maintained from the start till the end. The storyline was interesting, with great direction. The film shows how couples in a live-in relationship have to hide from society even when they are not wrong. The film shows how Indian society doesn’t believe in knowing each other before marriage. The background music and songs play a significant role in the movie. The songs will be in your mind even after finishing the film. The dialogues were well structured and framed.
