Atul Srivastava started his professional career as a theater actor. Classically trained in theater and performing arts, he has been acting since the 80’s. His major breakthroughs though started to come in the 90’s and he started to get different and bigger roles on both the small screen and Bollywood.

Born to a Sindhi family in Mumbai on 5th March 1974, Hiten Tejwani was passionate about acting from an early age. He completed his schooling from Saint Francis D'Assisi High School, Mumbai and then graduated from Jai Hind College. The acting bug bit him during his college days, when he joined the Ankur Theatre Group. He made his television debut in “Ghar Ek Mandir” in the year 2000. His talent was quickly recognized and he soon became a household name as he started bagging one television show after another. He played the role of a supporting actor in three television soaps before getting to play the lead role of “Pratham Mittal” in the immensely popular TV serial ‘Kutumb’ in the year 2001. Gauri Pradhan starred opposite him in ‘Kutumb’ whom Hiten later went on to marry in real life. After completing ‘Kutumb’, Hiten and Gauri joined one of the most popular shows ever made on Indian Television, “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” and his role of Karan Virani was widely appreciated by the critics as well as the audience. He also replaced Sushant Singh Rajput in the popupar TV serial “Pavitra Rishta” as Manav Deshmukh. He featured in reality shows such as “Nach Baliye Season 2” and “Kabhii Kabhi Pyar Kabhii Kabhi Yaar” along with his wife Gauri. He also played supporting roles in various films such as Joggers Park, Krishna Cottage and Anwar.
