Plot
Commander Joe Glass has been appointed to find out a missing submarine in Russian waters. The US President had been kept as a captive. Captain Andropov, the Russian officer is rescued by the US submarine and the commander Joe Glass reveals that they didn’t hit the Russian sub. All of them speak about the defense minister. To get back the President, the Russian captain teaches them some techniques. If it goes wrong, then there would be a high possibility of the world war. What happens next? Did Joe accomplish his mission successfully? Watch the film in theaters!
Star Performance
Gerard Butler, Gary Oldman, Toby Stephens and Michael Nyqvist had done their roles perfectly. This is one of the final films of Michael Nyqvist. The rest of the stars had played their part well.
Analysis
The director has designed the screenplay well and had given the edge – seat moments to the viewers. Although some scenes seem to be illogical, the thrill didn’t decrease. The main drawback in the film is too many subplots. The film also has come with a difference in certain things that don’t match the contemporary reality. Instead of a male President, the film has a woman as the US President. Besides this, they had showcased that the Russians have a good skill in English. As usual, the film shows that the Americans excel in patriotism than the others.

The film mainly projects that the Americans are the biggest patriots. Although it has a lot of flaws, with the interesting scenes, the director has made the audiences to have a complete watch. Hunter Killer … Not more than once!
