Plot
The film Killer Kate is about two sisters who are estranged from each other. Things take a turn when their dying father asks Kate to attend a bachelorette party that will take place in a remote cabin during Halloween weekend. Here, the sisters reconnect but the situation turns dark when they participate in a murder mystery that turns into a fight for survival. A game where one family competes against the other, and soon this party becomes a bloodbath. Ironically, the predators in this demented game become the hunted in the end, as they have to hide to avoid getting killed.
Star Performance
Lyon’s performance stands out and brings humour into the film.
Alexandria Feld is good but sometimes lacks in expressing her emotions.
Analysis
The unneeded and bland humour ruined the atmosphere of this film. The pace of the film is too slow. The cinematography and colour grading are perfect, clear and crisp. The audio track used is ideal. The script is inadequate, and the dialogues are shallow as there is too much empty small talk. The killers’ reason for trying to kill the women was plain and boring. The emotions of the characters Kate and Angie seemed suppressed even during the major dramatic events in the film. Such as, when Kate kills someone for the first time in the movie and, she seems unfazed as though killing people is a regular thing for her, and Angie, who witnessed it, also behaves too calmly. Another drawback of the film is that the twists are way too predictable.

Overall, the film is relatively poor. However, some horror enthusiasts might still find it enjoyable to watch, so there is no need to hold back from watching it to satisfy your curiosity.
