Plot

Anna Garcia has two children, Samantha and Chris. Her husband was a cop. While he was on his duty, he had been killed. So, Anna has to parent her children on her own. Being a social worker, she had to investigate the case of Patricia Alvarez. They come to know about a supernatural power involved in the case. La Llorona is the ghost, who searches for the children and takes them with her. Now, Anna comes to know that the next target of La Llorona is her children. Could she save her children? What did she do to safeguard the children from the spirit? Watch the film in theaters!

Star Performances

Linda played her part well as a caring mother. Patricia Velasquez played well the role of the mentally affected woman. Marisol Ramirez did justice to her role as the evil spirit La Llorona. The rest of the cast did justice to their roles.

Analysis

The story is not unique but decently scripted. The spooky scenes are not projected well. Certain scenes are dragged and test the patience. The characters are neatly designed and the casting is good too. The production and technical values are good. If some of the spooky scenes had been concentrated well, then the film would have given the best spooky effect to all the audiences.

What’s There?

  • Script and screenplay are good
  • Performances of the stars are appreciable

What’s Not There?

  • Spooky scenes should have been projected a little
  • Certain scenes are dragged

Verdict

For the regular horror moviegoers, this film might not be satisfactory and for the people, who want to try a new horror genre, this would work out well.
