Plot
Dr John Dolittle lives a satisfying life in Victorian England with his adopted animals. After the death of his wife Lily, Dolittle stays away from the people and interacts only with the animals. But, John Dolittle is called to give treatment to the Queen when she turned severely ill. Did he leaves his animals or take them with him to the Palace? Watch the film to know the rest!
Star Performance
Robert Downey Jr is excellent in his role. His expressions and body language are fantastic. Kumail Nanjiani, Octavia Spencer, Antonio Banderas and Michael Sheen are good in their voice-overs.
Analysis
The director started the film on a good note. He showcases the mindset of a person who misses his wife after her death. John Dolittle’s communication with the animals is neatly shown. The voice-over actors had just done a fantastic job. Little gags and jokes are impressive. The characterization is fantastic and the selection of the voice-over stars is excellent. did a role and projected the characters. The big drawback is the patchwork in the film. Yes, the dialogues seem to have been changed during the dubbing and that’s visibly clear. Except that it is almost good. The kids will love the movie for sure, with the funny performances of the animals.
