Revolution Studios and the Universal 1440 Entertainment deal with a new project to make a non theatrical production, which are based on the properties in the Revolution’s film library.
It is stated that, Universal has acquired the rights to produce the sequels, prequels and spin-offs of the Revolution’s titles. But it will be in the non theatrical formats, which will be premiered worldwide, as per the deal. Revolution Studios was founded by Joe Roth in 2000 and it was bought in 2014 through the funds which are managed by affiliates of Fortress Investment Group. At present, the studio is headed by Vince Totino as the CEO and Scott Hemming, the COO. “We have just found a perfect partner in Universal 1440 Entertainment that had succeeded globally in creating high quality non-theatrical productions,” said the CEO Totino.
