Plot
In the beginning, we see that there were two small ducks did not listen to their parents and due to this they got stuck in a wrong place. Their parents had told them they should not get out of the pond but they went out and got stuck inside a horrible situation and they were also attacked by bugs. In reality, a duck named Mac lied to his two kids to stop them from leaving the pond. Here we are also shown his wife, Pam, she always scolded her husband for teaching the children such wrong stories because they will never go anywhere out. The names of the little children were Dex and Gwen. They name of their children were Dex and Gwen. They were a lovely family; all four of them enjoyed each other’s company. The place where they lived was limited but had all kinds of things around them like food, drink, open sky, etc. One day they saw many birds coming there, who were migrating and stopped at their pond to rest. Seeing them Pam and the children were very excited to talk to them but Mac was hesitant. After some time when the school of birds were ready to fly again, they invited the family join them but, Mac refused and said that they have everything there and are very happy. Listening to this, Pam was very angry and upset. Seeing his family upset, that night Mac goes to his uncle who convinced him that they are birds and they need to fly. The rest of the movie revolves around their adventure they face while migrating to Jamaica.
Star Performance
The movie has a good voice cast involving Kumail Nanjiani, Elizabeth Banks, Danny DeVito, Awkwafina, and Keegan-Michael Key, who are all good in the film and have funny scenes in the film well-paced. The storyline is straightforward, with a few worthwhile subplots. The animation in this picture is outstanding, while the rest of the film is pretty average.
Analysis
The movie Migration (2023) is not Illumination's best movie, but it is an enjoyable and entertaining family movie, so that kids will like this movie; the movie had a good voice cast, pretty animation, funny moments, and the simple premise of ducks migrating is done well enough to make the movie good. The trailer for this movie made it seem like it would be in a class, with movies like Storks, Trolls, Minions, etc. But it failed to deliver. The endangering scenes were too long and caused the movie to drag. But the animation of the movie was stunning to look at with the various locations they go to having lovely details and is nice to look at, especially when they are at their pond or in certain forest areas; the ducks themselves have good detail in the feathers they have and the way the move around is fast and fun to watch when they are migrating from location to location.

In conclusion, Migration is a fun family-animated picture perfect for a five-year-old with enough worthwhile elements to make it worth a watch, but it doesn't stand out in the genre for the older ones.
