Due to the heavy rain in Karnataka, the excess water had been let out to Tamilnadu. The Cauvery has been flowing widely and the Mettur Dam reached its full capacity after five years. The water discharge from the Mettur is 50, 000 cu ft, and the discharging capacity has been increased every one hour.
Kerala High Court orders the devotees not to bring the plastic bags and boxes in Irumudi while coming to the Sabarimala Temple.
The central government says that the Supreme Court could live telecast the cases that are of much importance.
The Tamilnadu passed a Government Order that states that property tax in Tamilnadu has been raised as 50% to 100%. The residential area will receive a tax of 50% and the non-residential buildings will receive 100%
