All the three titles have similar meanings. 50% of the people picked Uyirkaa and hence many thought that the film will be titled as Uyirkaa. Kaappaan got 30% of the votes. When the director discussed the title with the team, producer and distributors, they suggested him Kaappaan, as it sounded better than Uyirkaa and hence, they opted for Kaappaan. 30% of the shooting is pending and the team will start shooting the rest of the portion from 17th January.
