Prem

Prem is a Tamil serial and movie actor. He was born and brought up in Chennai. He debuted in Bharathiraja’s ‘Eera Nilam’ as the hero’s brother in 2003. He then shifted to serials and now appears regularly on both screens.

Prem is the son of a late DSP. Director C.J.Baskar had made him wait the whole day on its inauguration and gave him a chirpy youngster’s role. He was happy to do that, since he was about to break from his cliched soft roles.

Prem was noticed for his performances, especially in a scene when he had to just watch Veteran actors Sivakumar and Kuyili act, by the then Chief Minister Kalaignar Karunanidhi who gave him a chance in ‘ Kannamma Kannamma is a mega soap opera in the Tamil languag >> Read More... ’. He received compliments from the Chief Minister himself post release.

Prem then participated in the dance show ‘Jodi No.1’ in Vijay TV and eventually won it, pairing up with Pooja. He then decided to shift his concentration towards movies.

He acted in a lead role in ‘Dhanam’ pairing with Sangeetha. Then he was cast in movies like ‘Nepali’, ‘Vallakottai’ and ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’. He even acted in 2 kannada movies.
