passed away on 6th April. He was sick with pneumonia last year and lately was spending his days at the Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage. He died at his house in CA on Wednesday.

He had predicted that he would die on his birthday which is today.
He was a good musician and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1994.
