The Filmfare Awards are the biggest form of salutation to actors in India. Year after year, Filmfare has honored some of the best films and performances by nominating them in respective categories and giving an award to the best of the lot. Being nominated for this award show is itself a very big deal. It gives support and encouragement to the actors to do even better work in future. However, Filmfare often fails to nominate some of the best performances of the year, instead choosing to nominate the most popular.
