Yes, you read that right. ‘Awarapan 2’ will finally see the light of the day. The movie was the Hindi debut for actress Shriya Saran, who had already gained fame for her Tamil classic ‘Sivaji : The Boss’, which release around the same time. The film was one of the few Indian movies to be shot in Lahore post independence.

Released on the same day as Himesh Reshammiya’s ‘Aap Ka Suroor : The Movie’ in 2007, ‘Awarapan’ underperformed at the box office. However, the performances of the actors, as well as the soundtrack of the movie made it a cult classic. Even today, ‘Awarapan’ is considered as one of the best performances of Emraan Hashmi.
