According to the recent reports, the official release date for the action thriller ‘Ground Zero’ has been locked. The movie will be releasing theatrically on April 25. Tejas Deoskar will be directing this movie.

For the first time in his career, Emraan Hashmi will be playing the role of a paramilitary officer. While the details of the plot are mostly under wraps, ‘Ground Zero’ is said to be based on the BSF encounter of 2003, which culminated in the death of Rana Tahir Nadeem, aka Ghazi Baba, the chief mastermind behind the 2001 Parliament attacks.

While Emraan Hashmi is well known for his ‘serial kisser’ image, he has been trying to make his own mark. Unfortunately, with the exceptions of ‘ Raaz 3 Click to look into! >> Read More... ’ and to some extent ‘ Baadshaho Click to look into! >> Read More... ’, the actor hasn’t seen a single successful movie since 2012.

Emraan’s last theatrical release was ‘ Tiger 3 Click to look into! >> Read More... ’, where he played the ISI agent Aatish Rehman. The movie barely managed to recover its cost, ending up with a total of 450 crores worldwide compared to a budget of 350 crores. However, with ‘Ground Zero’, ‘OG’, ‘G2’, and ‘Awarapan 2’, Emraan Hashmi aims to prove his critics wrong.
