Ekta Sohini (Ekta Behl) is Bollywood actress, who was seen in movies like Awwal Number with Aamir Khan and in a smaller role in Fateh even. She is now married to Mohnish Behl, son of famous actress Nutan. Ekta is a versatile performer in stage and has received much recognition in abroad. She also acted in films like Saajan, Vansh and Tahalka. These films had released in 1991 and 1992 and were all top blockbusters; but she could not make any impressive mark in cinema.

She therefore, opted for TV serials and had two shows to her credit. She got a break in Indian soap medical drama Dill Mill Gaye, which was aired on STAR One. Ekta Sohni performed the role of Padma Bansal Gupta as head nurse in Sanjeevini, wife of Shashank. She played her role at slots that were featured in 2009 and 2010. She also acted in another Teleserial in Ithiaas, where she played the character of Aunt Sheila Devi.

Ekta is highly talented and maybe she could not get the right break. She had the chance to debut in Dev Anand’s film Awwal Number where Dev Anand, Aaamir and Aditya Pancholi played lead roles. It looks she vanished away or will she continue in films. This time alone can tell. But one incident for which Aamir Khan might remember her is that, one-day her co-star hid his padding, Aamir refused to shoot for the film unless Ekta had given the padding back to him.

As a debut actor of Navketan’s Production House, she is definitely talented, but as lady luck did not shine, she took a step backward. She is now a wife to the actor Mohnish Behl. The couple has two children, Krishna Behl and Pranutun Behl. She is related to even Tanuja, who is yesteryear’s actress and sister of her mother-in-law Nutan.
