The most famous character that he created was Kakababu. He studied Bengali at the University of Calcutta. He along with his companions, created Krittibas, a Bengali poetry magazine. He died on 23 October 2012 in Kolkata, West Bengal.

1. Sabuj Dwiper Raja

The film Sabuj Dwiper Raja is based on the novel by Sunil Gangopadhyay of the Kakababu series. Panja is a smuggler. He leads a criminal gang. He wants to steal a meteorite and needs that energy. It landed on the Andaman Islands. Jarwas are the local tribe there. They have no idea about the valuable material. Mr. Gunada Talukdar is the king of the tribals. It was drawn on a piece of paper by Mufti Muhammad, his teacher. He is about to die. Mamun thinks that it is his key to will. He was a revolutionary and a political leader. One day, he is accused of stealing a secret that is not his. When Kakababu was in Delhi, someone tried to kill him. So, he decides to find the truth. He, along with his nephew, Santu goes to Egypt.

The film Kakababu Here Gelen is about the adventures of Kakababu. Bimal and his wife, Dipa sell their house. They were unable to maintain it. It was his maternal uncle’s house. The person to whom it is sold decides to demolish it to build something new. He invites Kakababu during the selling. He tells him that his mother’s uncle converted to Christianity. He changes his name from Dharma Narayan Rao to Gregory Rao. So, he was banished from his house. Now after a decade, he bought the house. He had valuables in the house. One day, he was found dead in his room. Now Kakababu investigates the matter.
