Sohini Sarkar is a recognized Indian Bengali film and TV actress. She hails from Kolkata, West Bengal, India, and was born on 1 October 1986. She has done master's in chemistry from the University of Calcutta. Sohini was fond of acting since childhood and commenced her career in 2008. Sohini led a predominant role in TV serials like Rajpath that premiered in 2008, and Adwitiya that on-air in 2011. Her latest television commercials include Bhoomikanya. She also acted in the movies like Phoring and Rupkatha Noy in 2013 and Byomkesh Pawrbo in 2016.
She also stepped her feet in web series like Judgement day, Manbhajan, Paanch Phoron, Pubitra Puppies, and Break up story. She won the star jalsha Parivar awards in 2012, was nominated for best actress in the leading role for the film Bibaho Diaries at Filmfare awards east.
