Mimi Chakraborty, born in 1989 is a Bengali film and a former TV actress. Earlier in her life, she wanted to be a model and participated in Femina Miss India contest. After that, she debuted in TV serial industry from Champion in 2009. But Gaaner Oparey was the sitcom, from which she got into fame and limelight. This show used to air on Star Jalsha. She joined the show in 2010, and her acting was very much appreciated. After Gaaner Oparey, she started to work in Bengali film industry and got her first role in Bengali movie Bapi Bari Ja in 2012. From then she got signed up for many more movies. She appeared in Bojhena Shey Bhojhena in 2012.

Then she played important roles in Proloy in 2013, Bengali Babu English Mem in 2014, Golpo Holeyo Shotti in 2014, Yoddha: The Warrior in 2014 and Khaad in 2014. After that, she also worked in Jamai 420 in 2015, Katimundu in 2015 and Shudhu Tomari Jonyo in 2015. Her latest movie is released on 12th of February 2016, named Ki Kore Toke Bolbo. She was also awarded as the Rising Star in female category at Big Bangla Rising Awards in 2011. She has worked in Bengali TV sitcoms and movies, but her principal aim is to get into Bollywood and act in Hindi films. Last month on 18th of January, she chased down a couple of drunk drivers and cut down a hit-and-run in Kolkata. She witnessed the accident and chased down the drunks. After that, she called the Police and surrendered those convicts to them. This act of her got herself much appreciation from the general public.
