Adithya Menon

Adithya Menon was born on 6th April 1974 as Anil Menon in Mumbai. When he was a kid, his family shifted their base to Dubai. Till his 18 years, Adithya grew up in Dubai. He is an alumnus of Our Own English High School in Dubai. Later, his family returned to India and settled in Bangalore. He is an engineering graduate, who was graduated from M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology. During his college days, he attended an audition for the Radio Jockey in Radio Midday. It was the base for him to enter the media. After completing his graduation, he had been an event manager and hosted a few programs. While working as a radio host, he found an actor inside him and joined a theater. Prakash Belawadi, a popular pan-India actor, found out the talents inside Anil and introduced him in TV Serials. It was Mussanjeya Kathaprasanga, the debut serial of Anil, which was telecast in ETV Kannada. In fact, it was the debut serial for Prakash Belawadi as a director. Later, Anil played in a serial directed by Sihi Kahi Chandru, a famous comedy star in Kannada. In 2001, the theater-artist-turned-serial star, moved to Chennai. He got an opportunity to work in a serial Thanthira Bhoomi produced by Raadan Mediaworks India Limited owned by Radhika Sarathkumar. His performance in the serial got him an opportunity to play in the serial Anni, directed by the legendary “K. Balachander.” While playing in serials, he had been seeking opportunities to enter the cinema. In 2003, he was roped into play in two movies simultaneously with Ajith Kumar and “R Madhavan.” “Anjaneya” with Ajith released first. So, he was credited as the newcomer in Ajith’s film. He has performed in a lot of films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. However, he has proved his excellence in Kannada too. His latest Kannada release is “Jaguar,” featured by Nikhil Kumar. He is popular for his works in Arindhum Ariyamalum, “Billa,” “Singam” and “Naan E” in Tamil. “Wanted,” “Mambazhakkalam,” Kilukkam Kilukilukkam and “Thanthonni” are the popular films in Malayalam by Adithya alias Anil. He had also done notable roles in “Simha,” “Dookudu,” “Eega,” “Mirchi,” “Rudhramadevi” and “Power” in Telugu.
