(2016), Perarasu (2006). Mostly known for her predominant involvement in the music albums of Kollywood movies and Independent albums, she has performed for the renowned record label NEW MUSIC.
One of the most versatile singers with clear enunciation and suitable musical phrasing, Swetha was born on 5th September 1991 and she’s often called the Whistling Queen. She is the daughter of her proud father Suresh Ganapathy. The initial stages of Swetha’s career saw her working for albums like Perarasu (2005) and Kurukshetram (2006).
Since then, she has improved a lot as a vocalist and has been building a name for herself in the industry. The fact that Shweta is the first Indian woman to be awarded with two prizes at the World Whistling Convention is still unknown to many. She currently holds the position of the best whistler in Asia.
Apart from singing and whistling, she also happens to be a professional dancer, trained in various dance forms, especially Bharatanatyam and Western Classical. The most recent film project that featured music from Shweta is Seem Raja (2006).
