Suchitra

Suchitra is a renowned singer, who has sung popular songs in the Tamil films. She was born as Suchitra Ramadurai in the year 1979 in Chennai. After completing her schooling in Chennai, she completed her graduation in Trivandrum from Mar Ivanios College. She did her MBA in PSG Institute of Management, Coimbatore. She joined in Sify, after her graduation.

After she noticed the advertisement for the post of Radio Jockey in the popular FM, Radio Mirchi, she applied. She got the job and popularly known to the FM listeners as Mirchi Suchi. She hosted the program Hello Chennai and with her unique voice, she got fame within a short duration. Then she entered the cinema industry as a dubbing artist and gave the voiceover. She has appeared as a guest in Jay Jay, Aayutha Ezhuthu and Bale Pandiya. Uyirin Uyire from Kaakha Kaakha made her to popularize among the audience. Almost all her songs were super hits and she is still signing in films as a playback singer to give hits songs. She was awarded in the International Tamil Film Awards as the best female Playback singer for the movie Mankatha. She has also received the Best Singer of the year award from BIG Telugu Movie Awards for the Telugu film Businessman. For the same film, she was awarded once again as the best female singer in the Film Fare Awards South.
