Preethi George

Preethi George is an Indian singer and songwriter from Tamil Nadu. She was born in 1986 and has been singing since her childhood. Her knack for music began with learning classical Carnatic vocal training as a child, which she continues to do today. She rose to fame after winning the television reality show Airtel Super Singer 2, aired on Star Vijay TV channel in 2008, beating 30 other contestants at the finals held in Phoenix MarketCity Chennai. Post this win, Preethi became one of the most sought-after playback singers in South India's film industry and has sung many hit songs, including 'Nenjodu Cherthu' (Yuva), 'Kannukulle Unnai Vaithen' (Aadukalam) and recently 'Vidinja Kalaikirathe' for Thalapathy Vijay's Master movie amongst others.
