Bhavatharini is a Tamil singer and music composer. She is the daughter of famous music composer of south Indian cinema, Ilaiyaraaja. Noted music composers,

are her brothers. Bhavatharini has won a National Award for Best Playback Singer Female for the film Bharathi in 2001. The song was “Mayil Pola Ponnu Onnu”, composed by her father, Ilaiyaraaja. She always sings under the direction of her father or brothers.
Bhavatharini has studied in Rosary Metric School in Chennai and she was the classmate of the famous singer Bhargavi. She made her debut as a singer in 1995 with the film Raasaiyya. The song she sang was a big hit. Bhavatharini usually sings for the family, but she has even lent her voice for compositions of Deva and Sirpy’s songs.
