Bhavatharini has won a National Award for Best Playback Singer Female for the film Bharathi in 2001. The song was “Mayil Pola Ponnu Onnu”, composed by her father, Ilaiyaraaja. She always sings under the direction of her father or brothers.

Bhavatharini has studied in Rosary Metric School in Chennai and she was the classmate of the famous singer Bhargavi. She made her debut as a singer in 1995 with the film Raasaiyya. The song she sang was a big hit. Bhavatharini usually sings for the family, but she has even lent her voice for compositions of Deva and Sirpy’s songs.

Bhavatharini became Music Director with the film Mitr My Friend, featuring Shobana and directed by Revathi. She made her venture in Telugu films with Avunaa. Gana Bala, a famous singer and lyricist of Kollywood, was born as Bala Murugan, but he adopted the name Gana Bala himself as a stage name. Sometimes, he is also known as Anathai Bala, 'Gana Kuyil King' Bala. He was born to V. S. Mani and M. Punniyam. Bala studied law at Presidency College in Chennai after studying Botany. After being graduated, his chance at fame began when he participated in a reality TV show called Gana Kuyil Pattu. The show was aired on Kalaignar TV, and he won it. In the singing field, he has specific expertise in the Gaana genre in the Tamil industry. In fact, he is given a lot of credit for reviving the genre back in the industry. He gained a lot of success and fame after Aadi Pona Aavani, and Nadukadalula Kappala came out as a part of the soundtrack of Attakathi. He also received several nominations and won the Vikatan Award for playback singing in that movie. It was his big break and after that he has done innumerable songs in movies, albums under famous composers like G. V. Prakash Kumar. Also, he has written down some of his songs. In fact, one of the albums that he made independently called Vaanavil was released under the guidance of composers Dhina and Deva. Bala’s talent isn’t just related to singing and writing songs. He also made his first debut in the film Piragu in which he played the role of a mechanic. He has also danced in the second movie by Dinesh whose first movie was Attakathi. Bala is also reported saying at an audio launch that he has a lot of interest in becoming a hero and wants to pursue acting in the future. Kollangudi Karuppayee was born in Tamil Nadu. She is professionally a folk singer and has also performed in various films and events. She is one of the living legends of folk music, and many people follow her works. She raised the scale of the finest folk music that one can produce. She is an inspiration to many, and her music remains as a gift for many emerging musicians. Kollangudi not only was an expert music player but she also acted in many movies. She has been active in the industry since 1985. She debuted in the 1985 flick; “Aan Paavam”, its story is about a complicated and a mix match happening there. Pandian and Pandiarajan are sons of V.K. Ramasamy. Pandian’s father arranged a girl for his son for his marriage, hearing this he visits the village to meet the girl but enters the wrong house, it was all fate that the house he went in also expected a person to show up to marry their daughter. They fall for each other at the first sight but the confusion gets sorted when the marriage bureau agent shows up and clarifies the situation. It makes everyone sad and unhappy. His father arranged everything for the wedding ceremony but Pandian forces to marry Seetha. With all the events following and tragic events taking place, finally Pandian marries Seetha and Pandiarajan marries Revathi (the girl with whom Pandian was supposed to get married). The music of the film was phenomenal, and the audience liked and appreciated it. In 1996, she acted in Gopala, the story about Gopalakrishnan, who is an expert cook who recently moved to Chennai. His skill is appreciated by the women living in his building; their husbands soon become envious of him. Gopala falls for Usha and tries to win her heart with the help of the ladies living in his neighborhood. She agrees to marry him and soon finds that he is already married but his wife was pregnant, and she eloped with her lover the night they married. Hearing this Usha feels inferior and she leaves him. Gopala’s father comes to stay with him and helps him win Usha’s heart. Deva composed the music for the film which grabbed immense public attention. Kollangudi has seen a lot of pain in her life. Her husband and daughter died in front of her in a road accident which made her mentally poor and unstable. The youth now takes her care.
