Kruthi Bhat, also known as Kruthi Vittal, is an Indian classical singer and Carnatic vocalist. She completed her higher secondary education in Houston, Texas. She graduated In Computer Science Engineering and then decided to pursue her passion for singing to become a full-time performing musician. Kruthi has been interested in music since childhood, as she was born into a family of musicians. Smt. Krishnaveni, her grandmother, introduced her to Carnatic music when she was young. She considers her grandmother as her first guru. Kruthi is skilled in both Indian and Western violin. Under the guidance of her mother, Vidushi Rajarajeshwary and her uncle, Vidwan Vittal Ramamurthy, she learnt music at a very young age. Her uncle gave her violin lessons.

She also learnt music from the Padma Bhushan Sri Lalgudi G. Jayaraman and Sri T. R. Subramanian. She is also under the tutorship of Sri Neyveli Santhanagopalan and Smt. S. Sowmya. Besides singing, she knows another classical form, Bharatnatyam and is a talented acrylic/pastel painter. She used to perform sometimes in Houston and other places. Kruthi is a recipient of various awards in India and the USA. She was awarded “Best Female Vocalist” from the Prestigious Madras Music Academy as a part of the Spirit of Youth Series and received the Indian Raga Fellowship from MIT Boston 2013. She also won the concert competition at the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhna 2013, where she was awarded a Tambora and received the title “Kala Ratna”.

Other titles she earned were "Isai Chudar" from Karthik Fine Arts Chennai and “Saptami Super Star” at the Dallas Saptami Festival, and she won the Carnatic Music Idol USA Season 3 from Maximum Media Jaya TV. In addition to these, she also earned an award for “Best Vocalist” by Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha, Chennai, 2013. With her powerful voice control and exceptional talent, Kruthi has performed meticulously on various platforms, from shows to concerts. During her musical journey, she has contributed to society with her concerts, such as her concert in 2009 for Carries Heart, a special-needed children’s school and a performance for the Sandipani Trust of India in 2012. Her journey is filled with perseverance, dedication and hard work, inspiring aspiring artists in the future and encouraging them to preserve and promote the beauty, essence and artistry of Indian Classical music worldwide.
