Vasanthi

Vasanthi is an Indian-Actress. She is also a producer. She mainly worked in the Tamil Film Industry. She gained popularity for performing as a supporting actress. She married P. Seenivasan. P. Seenivasan is an Indian Politician who belongs to the party, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. He was also the Member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. Vasanthi has one daughter.

Some of the movies in which she has worked include Then Nilavu, which released in 1961. Maadappura, which released in 1962. Azhagu Nila, which released in 1961. Dakshayagnam, which released in 1962. Avana Ivan, which released in 1962. Bale Pandiya, which released in 1962. Bommai, which released in 1964. Ennathan Mudiva, which released in 1965. Sarasa B.A, which released in 1965. In her movies, she has mostly acted as a homey girl, who is highly educated and sincere.

Vasanthi was active in the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam film industries. She has worked as a second heroine and supporting roles in various movies. Her debut Malayalam movie was Minnaminugu, released in 1957. Her debut Telugu movie was Mahakavi Kalidasu, released in 1960. In 1961, her Tamil debut movie, Then Nilavu, was released. In the film Maadappura, she acted as a second heroine opposite M G Ramachandran. As a producer, she has produced the Telugu movies Memu Manushulame and Bhale Papa. On 29 May 2019, she passed away at her residence in Anna Nagar, Chennai.
