Meenal

Meenal is an actress known for roles in the South Indian film industry, mainly in Tamil movies. She was born in the city of Madurai, formerly known as Madura in the South Indian State of Tamil Nadu. She was born into a family of business workers. In her family, her father was the one with the business inclination that had also spread to Meenal when she was a young girl. Her father had his factory in the city of Coimbatore which dealt with garment export. Being exposed to such work had inspired Meenal and had made her aspire to be an entrepreneur herself one day. This aspiration led her to pursue Business Studies while completing her education.

She has been a good actor from a young age and didn’t take it very seriously even though most of her friends had encouraged her to take it up seriously. She got her big break as a result of pure coincidence when she went to a visit in Kodambakkam, the center of the Tamil cinema industry, and got noticed by director Cheran. Soon after her debut into the film industry, she found herself with a handful of offers from various directors. She was offered the role of an imperative character in Ace filmmaker P. Bharathiraja’s 'Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum' named Narthanya, a sex worker. The film was released in the year 2013 and was well received by the viewers and critics alike.
