Born as Mohideen Abdul Khadar on 5th February 1949, Rajkiran is a film actor, director and producer. He was born in Keezhakkarai, Tamil Nadu and he has been featured in more than 25 Tamil films. Rajkiran began his career in the industry by producing two films and also appeared in a brief role in one of them.
He got a lead role in En Rasavin Manasile, in 1991 which ran for a silver jubilee. He then directed and produced Aranmanai Kili in 1993 and Ellame En Rasathan in 1995, and acted in lead roles in both. He acted in Manikkam in 1996 which did averagely well at the box office, followed by Pasamulla Pandiyare in 1997 which was a failure. He was featured in Ponnu Velayira Bhoomi in mid-1998 and made a guest appearance in Veera Thalattu.
Thalaimurai was his next film, in which he acted at the end of 1998. After a gap of three years, he then acted in Nandha and Pandavar Bhoomi, both of which were successful films.
Rajkiran has won several awards including Tamil Nadu State Film Award Special Prize, Filmfare Best Tamil Supporting Actor Award, Cinema Express – Best New Face Award and Tamil Nadu Government's Best Actor award.
