Mohan Rajan is an Indian Lyricist. He works in the Tamil Film Industry. Mohan was born in the year 1984. He was born in Valayapatti, Tamil Nadu. He pursued his Master’s Degree from Loyola Degree College in Chennai, Tamil Nadu in Tamil Literature and Media arts specializations. Mohan started his career as a lyricist with the film Easan (2010) where he penned the song Jilla Veettu.

He later penned more songs like Kondaadum Manasu from Sundarapandian (2012), All songs of the film David (2013) except Iravinil Ulavavaa, Ka Ka Ka Po from Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum (2016), Yaanji Yaanji from Vikram Vedha (2017), Savaal, and Oonjala Oonjala from Kanaa (2018), and many more songs.

Yugabharathi is an Indian lyricist and poet. He specializes in writing Tamil poems and Tamil songs. He was born in the Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu. Yugabharathi’s real name is Prem Kumar, but he changed it to Yugabharathi as it was his pen name for his poems. Yugabharathi completed his Matriculation from Maxwell Matriculation Higher Secondary School. He also has a Diploma in Engineering from Government Polytechnic College. He started his career as a poet in early 90’s and wrote poems for various Tamil magazines. He changed his name to Yugabharathi to honor his idol Subramanya Bharathi. He started his career as a lyricist with the movie Aanandham. He wrote lyrics for Pallankuzhiyin in the movie. After that, he wrote lyrics for many songs. His first work as a successful lyricist came out in the year 2002 in the movie Run. He wrote the song Kadhal Pisase, which became a huge hit. In 2003, he wrote songs for the movie Vasiya Kaari and Manmadha Raasa. In the year 2004, he went back to writing poems for magazines. But 2005, was the year of Yuga Bharathi. He wrote more than five songs for different movies. Some of his mentionable work that year was Maayavi in the movie Devaloga Rani and Sandakozhi in Dhavanipotta Deepavali. Yugabharathi’s songs were liked by everyone and were even acclaimed by the critics. Because of his success in the film industry, he drifted apart from the poems and started writing songs for Tamil movies. His career as a lyricist was at the peak in the year 2014 when he became the most demanded song writer. He wrote more than 15 songs that year, which include Onnuna Rendu, Kandangi Selai & En Anbe. Some of his latest work include lyrics for Athaadi Yenna Solla, Usrey Nee, Anantha Thendral & Kudiya Vedu in Mahabalipuram. He is currently working on two projects named Rani Murugan and Anjala, which are set to release this year.

Thamarai

Thamarai was born in Tamil Nadu, India on 10th November 1975. She is a lyricist by profession and also writes poems, essays and is also a former journalist. She is a renowned lyricist and mostly writes in Tamil. She received her primary education from Coimbatore and graduated from Government College of Technology in Coimbatore. After her graduation, she continued to work there and later moved to Chennai and devoted her time for a company as an independent journalist, where she used to write essays, poems and short stories for them. She came into the limelight and became very popular among the people through her writing and also joined the Tamil Industry where she started to write lyrics for various movie songs. Thamarai made her debut in 1998 film, “Iniyavale”. The story is about a poet who dreams of becoming a big man and of becoming a collector before he gets married. His and Meena’s father decide to get them married, but he resents their decision and does not want to get married. Meena misunderstands and misinterprets his words and commits suicide. He feels guilty about the incident and decides to marry Meena’s younger sister to reciprocate for the loss. ‘Deva’ composed the music for the flick, and it did well at the box office. In 2000, the picture ‘Thenali’ released. The plot is about Thenali, a person who has the phobia for almost everything, and is in treatment by a doctor and his assistant. Both of them become jealous of Dr. Kailash getting all the limelight and decide for his downfall; they send Denali to visit Kailash, but he is on a vacation with his family. Thenali visits him there and falls in love with his younger sister. The whole plot focuses on the madness that Thenali creates and the chaos he brings into the doctor’s life. Her other works include ‘Minnie’, ‘Majunu’, ‘Ghajini’, ‘Pasanga’, Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal, Pachaikili Muthucharam, etc. She created some fantastic tracks for Ghajini. The movie did a fantastic business at the theaters, and the audience loved the film. Aamir Khan remade the picture in Bollywood, which also broke many records at the box office. Thamarai wrote the lyrics for the song Oru Maalai, which became very popular among the audience. Thamarai also worked for television daily soaps and also received many nomination and awards for her contribution to the film industry. She married Thozhar Thiyagu, a social activist, and a politician. They have a son and a daughter from his first wife.
