Gokula Krishnan

Gokula Krishnan has been amongst those talented Indian film directors, profoundly known for his contributions in the Tamil film industry.

He was born in 1945to Tirunelveli. This well-known film director left us at the age of 63 years (October 2008). Gokula Krishnan had been suffering from an illness and wasn’t keeping up well, due to which he succumbed to death.

It was a dark day for his fans and the film industry. Gokula Krishnan was married to Ms. Kavitha. Gokula Krishnan has contributed to the film industry by delivering successful films such as Poovarasan,Udhavikku Varalama,Archanai Pookal,Muthukkalaiand Anantha Kummi.

Apart from directing films he is also known well for writing scripts.Engal Anna,Oru Naal Oru Kanavu,Poove Poochooda Vaa,Friends,Kaadalukku Mariyaadaiwere the films for which he has written dialogues. He is also known for extensively working with Fazil (Malayalam director ),writing dialogues for him.

Actor Kartik seemed to be one of his favorite choices, as he made many films that featured him. The 1980s and 1990s were the most active years of his life when he contributed significantly to the industry.

The latest movie which he directed was AahaKalyanam, a Tamil /Telugu romantic comedy produced by Aditya Chopra's Yash Raj Films.
