Amjath Meeran

Amjath Meeran is a film director, writer, and lyricist, as well as the owner of a film production company and a performing and visual artist, born in Madurai and brought up in Trichy town. He has a total of 18 years of filmmaking experience. He began his career in 2001 and created a new genre known as Short Feature Films, which has received a lot of praise. Amjath has produced over a dozen motion picture projects in the previous 15 years. All of his scripts are written by him. Meeran Theatres, his production firm, handles the entire process from conception to completion. In 2009, his seven-year-old amateur film production firm was accepted as an associate member of the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC), the apex body that controls the Tamil film industry in Chennai.

For more than a decade, he has portrayed a variety of parts in the mainstream film industry. He has worked as an Assistant Director, Co-Director, Technician, and Creative Consultant for over five generations of filmmakers over his career. It all began with his first creative project as a graphic designer and storyboard artist for the film Kannathil Muthamitaal, directed by renowned filmmaker Mr Mani Ratnam, for which he worked as a graphic designer and storyboard artist in its opening sequences. Mr Shankar, India's magnum opus filmmaker, directed the picture Nanban, and Amjath Meeran has worked as a creative consultant for the pre-release promotional event of the film.

He also scripted and coordinated a concert stage event for film composer Mr Harris Jayaraj, where the audio debut of Nanban took place at the same time. For a brief period, he worked as a co-director on a film directed by newcomer Mr Yuvaraj Alagappan (Kaliyugam). Mr.GauthamMenon, an outstanding filmmaker, chose him to play a supporting role in his film in 2011. He has also worked as a Creative Consultant with new-gen director Mr Sathya Prabhas Pinisetty on the production of a 2018 trilingual film set in Hyderabad. Amjath met some of the world's most influential creative leaders, technicians, directors, producers, and artists after competing in British Council's Young Entrepreneur Award, which was followed by the British High Commission.
