in October 23, 2009. The ceremony was held at Guruvayurappan Temple in Kerala and the reception happens at Hotel Accord in Chennai on October 25, 2009. Big personalities like the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. Mu. Karunanidhi attended their celebration, R.B. Choudhary, AVM Saravanan, Stalin, K. Balachander, Sivakumar, P Vasu and a lot more were also there to celebrate with them. They joined the Season 2 of the Indian dance competition, Maanada Mayilada which was aired on Kalaignar TV. The couple won 5 Lakhs and they took the first runner-up place. They also hosted Sun TV’s Super 10 in Chennai.
Ganeshkar started acting as a child artist in the 1986 Tamil film, Karimedu Karuvayan under the direction of Ramanrayanan. He acted in another Tamil film, En Thangai Kalyani from which he was cast together with his real-life wife, Aarthi. She bagged the role of Kalyani, the sister of Ganeshkar who played as the young T. Rajendar in the film. In 1989, he appeared in K. Balachander’s

and Siva by Amirjan. In 1991, he also acted in the Tamil romantic drama film, Nee Pathi Naan Pathi. He was also seen in the 2004’s drama film, Kovil and essayed the role of Shaktivel’s (played by Silambarasan) friend, English Karan in 2005 and Nepali in 2008. The actor also made an appearance as Rocky’s (played by Dhanush) friend in the action comedy film, Padikkathavan in 2009. In 2013, he bagged the role of Murugan in the romantic comedy film, Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya. In 2014, he has done another romantic comedy film entitled,

, under the direction of S.R. Prabhakaran. Recently, he was also cast in the box-office horror comedy film, Aranmanai which stars Sundar C. and Vinai Rai.
