Vijaya Sarathy

Vijayasarathy is one the experts in the field of anchoring, comparing and has also been a video/radio jockey. He is an anchor of the very famous entertainment show NeengalKettaPadal on SunTV. He is a regular face in some of the TV series and Films.

Vijay started his career with JJ TV as producer and compere. He has spent his life with his grandparents, and so he is very respectful to everyone he works. Less talk and much work make no sense for compere like him because his job is to talk and entertain people.

Vijayasarthy lost his parents in an accident in the tender age of three. Since then his grandparents took him in and are his family. He says that he barely remembers his dad, he could see him only in the recorded films in which his dad worked. Though he was a son of an actor, he had no thoughts to join the industry.

Vijayasarthy completed his post graduation in zoology and started his career as a medical representative in Hindustan Ciba-Geigy. He credits Ciba for sharpening his communication skills and for making him talk to people who turned him into an extrovert.

After some time, a friend advised him to join JJ TV. So he joined JJ TV as producer and compere. Vijayasarthy started using his dad’s name, and thus he instantly got accepted. His first serial as lead role was Marmadesam, directed by Naga; this was the turning point in his life. But his major break was when he enacted as Fraud Kannan in the TV serialChitthi.

People started recognizing him from that serial. Apart from playing the lead role in TV series like Chitthi and Vikramaditya, he has also played hero in many Tamil films. NeengalKeetaPadal is a show where they visit different sites and give a short-term report about the place right from its significant facts to economic growths, and in the end, they emphasize on a tourist couple and play a song of their choice.

This programme is tremendously popular on Sun TV, and its TRP ranking is one among the top few. As part of this show, Vijay has traveled almost entire India and some of the foreign countries. He has also toured Errawadi and Velachery after the tragedies and these episodes not only moved the people's heart but were also well valued for its contents.
