Omakuchi Narasimhan was a stage and film actor, who mostly worked in the Tamil film industry. He was born in Kumbakonam in the year 1936 and died on 12 March 2009 at an age of 73. He died due to throat cancer. He made his debut with the film 'Avvaiyar'(1949). After his debut film, he took a break from the industry to complete his studies. His wife’s name is Saraswati. Vijayalakshmi, Nirmala, and Sangeetha are his daughters. The couple also has a son named Omkareshwara.
After his graduation, Narsimhan worked with LIC for several years. He again stepped into the film industry with the film 'Gauri Kalyanam'. He acted in over 1500 films across 14 languages. He also acted in an English film 'Indian Summer'. He played memorable roles in the film 'Suriyan', 'Indian', and 'Mudhalvan'. ‘Thalainagram’ was his last film.
