Jeevan Job Thomas

Jeevan Job Thomas is a Malayalam-language essayist, novelist, and screenwriter from India. Jeevan Job Thomas was born on October 20, 1979, in Vengola village in Kerala's Ernakulam district. He earned a PhD in physics from the Mahatma Gandhi University of Kerala, Kottayam, with research on nanomagnetism and ferrite nanostructures. After completing his PhD, he served as an Adhoc faculty member at the National Institute of Technology, Calicut. Since 2006, Thomas has been writing articles for Malayalam periodicals. In 2013, he wrote Rathi Rahasyam, an in-depth study of human sexuality that combines sexual knowledge with anthropology, evolutionary psychology, and cultural history.His debut novel, Nidra Moshanam, is a psychological thriller that was released in 2015.

Maranathinte Ayiram Mukhangal (2016), a nonfiction book, investigates conceptions of death from cell death to the end of human civilization by bringing together political history, cultural philosophy, cellular biology, and evolutionary theory. Based on the death of an elderly lady in Kozhikode in 2014, he wrote an article about how the court system turned an innocent youngster into a criminal. After reading the essay, Madhupal commissioned Jeevan Job Thomas to write a screenplay based on it. Oru Kuprasidha Payyan was released in 2018 to positive reviews, with specific attention given to the script.
