Suresh Poduval, who’s actual name is Suresh Babu Bio coming soon... >> Read More... , is a prolific scriptwriter in India. He was born to A. Narayani Amma and Late U. Krishna Poduval, in Payyanur, Kannur District, Kerala, on December 15, 1970. While Suresh's father was a teacher at a school, his mother was a housewife. Besides his parents, Suresh's family consists of his five siblings named Shobhana, Dinkar, Vinayakumar, Jayageetha, and Ranjith. They all lived together in Athayil House. He is an alumnus of Payyanur South ALP School, Payyanur Government Boys High School, and Payyanur College. From a young age, Suresh imbibed Late U. Krishna Poduval's excellent oratory skills and emerged victoriously in several elocution competitions. Besides oratory, he was an active participant in his school's drama and literature contests.
In fact, several magazines and newspapers have published his literary works on numerous occasions. Suresh met Ramesh Payyanur, who was then working as a director at Asianet Radio in Dubai, at a young age itself. P.G. Annur, Muralidas, and many renowned mentors guided him. As a child, Suresh studied the classical dance form of Kathakali. Suresh has done his graduation in physics. After the completion of his education, he started working as an announcer with the All India Radio, Kozhikode. After working there for a year, Suresh shifted to Mumbai and joined a daily newspaper named Kala Kaumudi, where he proofread articles. In 1993, he returned to Kochi and bagged the post of sub-editor in Manorajayam. The following year, Suresh managed to enter into the administrative department of the Malayala Manorama. Slowly, he was interested in journalism and so he enrolled himself in a diploma course at Kozhikode Bharath Vidya Bhavan.
In 1998, Suresh got his break as a scriptwriter with Manthrikumaran. Since then he has written several films and TV shows like Nadan Pennum Nattupramaniyum, Sthree Oru Santhwanam, Achaneyanenikkishtam, Malaghamaar, and many others. He has also directed several albums and documentaries. Suresh has also hosted Surya TV Channel's Top Five Movies, Suprabhatham, and many more. In 1994, India's Ministry of Human Resources Development gave him the Junior Fellowship Award. In 2010, Pune Film Institute and National Film Archives of India selected him for a chief course. Besides this, Suresh is the recipient of several states, national, and motion pictures awards.
